i can relate to the feeling of seeing the sun after many gray days in a row! your painting is terrific and i love your limited color palette. i don’t know if you are a Flickr user, but even if you’re not you should check out our Urban Sketches group ( http://www.flickr.com/groups/urbansketches/ ). your painting is a perfect fit for it and it would be a great contribution to the pool

Beautiful, Nina, and so very, very, very, very inspiring to someone who knows very little of watercolour except that it is a much greater challenge than folk like you make it appear with your expertise.

As the screen came up, I said to myself ‘limited palette’ and I was right. It gives a great look. Far more interesting than if you used many colours.

Nice work, Nina. Beautiful shadows. I have found, too, that a primary triad yields some lovely browns and grays. Deft drawing, as usual. I always find roof angles challenging.
