Row of houses, Långgrundet

A row of houses from Långgrundet again. Not quite as in real life, more a wintry and bare version from my head.
19,5 x 20 cm, watercolours on Fabriano Artistico 300 gsm rough grain watercolour paper.

Just when I think I’ve identified my favourite, you post another, Nina. This one is absolutely lovely. I’m totally charmed by the little white houses cut out of the dark blue and love your use of texture as my eyes move down the painting. Yum! It would be great to be able to get to your exhibition and see it all in real life.
Wow Nina these are all so Stunning, I adore your technique – Wow Wow Wow!!!!!
I think that your combination of realistic landscape and free work about textures and colours is something very interesting and original. Here I was captured by the beautiful cobalt blue that dominates the painting!
Thanks a lot for this virtual tour of your show. In addition to admiring beautiful and creative art, I learn a bit about this group of islands and I can feel how much you love this place.
Love the colour splash against the lines of the houses. Yummy painting!
