Gamla stan

A while back I had the opportunity to have some great company on one of my sketch outings in Stockholm, by Alex Zonis from Urban Sketchers Chicago and Ed Harker from Bath, England (who doesn´t have a web presence for his fantastic sketches just yet). We sketched in Gamla Stan (Old Town) in Stockholm – a place where I never really sketched, because I have such a hard time getting past the touristic postcards and watercolours that are sold everywhere here.

It´s  a good thing Alex suggested we should sketch here, cause then I finally got around to do it too. Gamla stan really IS one of the prettiest parts of Stockholm, even though it´s always crowded and and a bit overwhelming in summer.

Both sketches: 27 x 14 cm, Namiki Falcon with Platinum Carbon ink and watercolours, in Hand Book sketchbook.
