A method for car sketching

Last Sunday, the weather was a bit threatening, but I and a friend decided to go drool over the beautiful cars at Gärdesloppet (vintage car exhibition and race in Stockholm). That´s when I finally figured out the trick for sketching cars.

You stand up, hold your umbrella AND your sketchbook in one hand, and draw with the other, while trying to avoid being run over by people and cars fleeing the rain. Make sure you get the whole car before the family inside it decides to leave the flooded event. Wobbly lines comes as a bonus. Took me less than ten minutes, the black and grey dots are raindrops on fresh ink. I like it.
