Life drawing at Tellus

I attended a life drawing session in the neighborhood this evening. I didn´t have time to pack anything else than my usual sketchbook and the pens I already had in the bag, so I went for small drawings on top of each other, to avoid using up half the sketchbook on unfinished warm-up life drawings. I think I did some progress after a while, the proportions are a bit better on the last one below…

Such a great idea – really interesting results. The eye just wants to keep moving around the page. Love it!

Travail très difficile que celui des proportions dans le “nu” ! La base du dessin mais il faut beaucoup d’entrainement … bravo pour ces planches et l’originalité des superpositions.

I also enjoy the multiple drawings on the same page – looks like a productive life drawing session.

  4. I think it’s a great way of sketching. I’d like to try it on my next life drawing session (maybe next friday).

  5. Thank you, folks! It was fun to do life drawing this way, with the sketches on top of each other, and the result is a bit more interesting than my usual lonesome half-finished figures on otherwise empty pieces of paper. ;)
