This is the last painting from the exhibition – and the largest. It´s been a real joy to have this show, and the response – both in real life and here on the blog – has been overwhelming. House no. 10, Långgrundet. This is one of the first paintings I did for this exhibition, it´s from 2008 when I was beginning to experiment with this Norrbyskär theme.

Those of you who have been following my posts with paintings from the exhibition, will recognize the little cable tower from the Northern cape of Norrbyskär. It´s been playing the lead role in two earlier paintings too. This one is rather small, and had been posted before on the blog – I made it last summer, so it´s one of the few “oldies” in the exhibition.

One of the larger paintings in the exhibition, another end of the stable belonging to the Guest house (the supervisor´s estate in the old days). This stable isn´t much of a stable anymore, it contains living quarters for the people working at the Guest house, and some smaller hostel rooms. I´m always amazed at the details they built into the houses around 1900, even the stable got some decorations on the roof. Would ‘pinnacle’ be the right word for one of those pointy things on the roof tops, or is there a better word for it in English? Please give me some advice in the comments!

This is one of the school/church buildings again, the one they say there are ghosts in. I don´t know about that, but it sure looks a bit creepy in the tiny apartment under the roof…

One of the larger paintings in the exhibition. This is the entrance of the Guest house, which used to be the supervisor´s estate while the saw mill was still running. The workers hardly ever got in here back then, now it´s open to anyone – some changes are for the better. Now you can grab a bite to eat or have a beer in here, and sit down and enjoy the view of the sea and the islands outside.

One of the sheds on the island. Several houses share these sheds. In this painting I thought I´d try working with colours I don´t often use, so I let some pink and yellow go along with the black-and-white shed.
