Rambla Gaudí

rambla_gaudi

Morning sketch from Rambla Gaudí, with the Sagrada Família slightly in the background. I am still working on some details and scanning (and scanning and scanning…) before I can send in my sketches from the Sagrada Família to the producer of the book.

This is what I like about sketching on location – you remember everything about the place when you look at your sketches! This particular image contains a lot of sounds to me, and the sight of an endless line of people (around half a block, actually) waiting to enter the Sagrada Família. Plus the knowledge that I soon have to move, because the sun will soon peek around the corner and make the spot I´m sitting in too hot. : )

24 x 16 cm, UniPin ink pen and watercolours on Somerset 250 gsm printing paper.

Loving the sketches. I’ve been to Spain twice, Barcelona once.
They take me back to all of that lovely Spanish architecture!

Underbara bilder Nina! Kram!

I find the orange/green/blue multi coloured pencil work very appealing. Are these pencils readily available, especially in England?

Nina, this book is going to be amazing. The whole series that you posted is incredible. I hope that we will be able to obtain this book somewhere and that you let me know when it becomes available.
